Civil Works & Building Contractor
Kokeb began as a civil works and building contractor, delivering roads, buildings, and basic infrastructure projects. During this stage, Kokeb established its reputation for quality workmanship, safety, and dependable delivery — the core attributes that continue to define the company today.
Operating from Solwezi in Northwestern Province, we were positioned at the heart of Zambia's fastest-growing economic corridor — giving us early access to the demands of infrastructure development in a rapidly expanding mining region.
Diversification into Multi-Disciplinary Engineering
As mining and industrial activity grew in Northwestern Province, Kokeb expanded its service offering into new and complementary disciplines:
- Mining support infrastructure for major copper and cobalt operations
- Industrial buildings, depots, and logistics facilities

- Electrical and mechanical engineering works
This period saw Kokeb transition from a general contractor into a multi-disciplinary engineering company — with the NCC Grade I certification for Electrical and Mechanical works marking a major milestone, validating Kokeb's technical competence at the highest national standard.
